At Xerox Canada, our commitment to sustainability goes far beyond “going green” one day a year. Protecting the environment isn’t a “nice” thing to do: it’s part of our DNA and the fundamental way we do business. We align our goals for the environment in four key areas – reducing energy use and protecting the climate, preserving the world’s forests and biodiversity, preserving clean air and water, and preventing and managing wasteto make an impact across our value chain worldwide. Together, we strive to maintain the highest standards to preserve our environment and protect and enhance the health and safety of our employees and communities.

For instance, we simplify the way work gets done, and remove unnecessary resources and activities to help reduce waste. Simplicity and sustainability work together to deliver social, financial, and environmental benefits. Xerox helps reduce energy use to protect our climate by providing energy efficient products and solutions to our customers. We preserve biodiversity and the world’s forests by supplying papers that comply with sustainable forest management standards including Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) and Program for the Endorsement of Forest Certification (PEFC). Xerox is also committed to eliminating the use of toxic materials and heavy metals from our supply chain, helping preserve clean air and water.
We also know how important it is to be intentional with how we impact our environment and planet as a whole. There are simple yet effective things we can do on a regular basis to protect our planet. Nowadays, almost everything is recyclable, so there is almost always a positive alternative to sending something to landfill. Every choice we make should be a conscious one, with the longevity of the planet in mind – proclaiming Every Day as Earth Day.
Seeing is believing. Check out this infographic – complete with current and Canadian focussed stats – to show you just how important sustainability is to our planet and what Xerox is doing to make a difference. Step up to the challenge and walk the walk. Please feel free to share this infographic with others to help make Earth Day every day.
